Does this adaptor support 1920x1200 resolution output?

AnswerAs for myself, this adapter can do only 1920x1080 at 60Hz.
I had a 17" from 2006 which worked perfectly at 1920x1200, with no adapters as the laptop had a DVI. With the 15" of 2010 and the VGA adapter, I can't reach the maximum resolution of my screen.- Answered by Cyril C

For Mac air how do you connect to second screen
Use the air for my only computer but need bigger screen for office spreadsheet work. I have the 13 inch screen on the air. I have an existing monitor and would like to connect to the air while in the office and use booth screens at the same time. How do you make that happen?

AnswerYour Mac Air should have a Mini DisplayPort or Thunderbolt port on the side. If you wanted to connect it via VGA you should get an adapter for it, like this one.

Will this adapter work connecting the first generation iPad with a MacBook pro?
I am in the process of looking to buy a new laptop. I have the iPad, not the iPad 2. I am hoping there is some sort of adapter that I can buy to connect the iPad to my MacBook pro? Thus it would serve as a "link" between the 2 so I could switch screens and drag items from one screen to the other?
Thank you very much for your time.- Asked by Erica E from Boyertown

Best Answer
Short answer: yes.
Long answer: yes, because the Thunderbolt standard is based on Mini-DisplayPort; so any cable that will work with the previous Mini-DisplayPort standard should work with Thunderbolt.- Answered by Ronald N from Fresno

Best AnswerYes. For display purposes, the thunderbolt port is essentially the same as a mini display port.
