Can this VGA adapter connect my new macbook pro to a projector via thunderbolt?
The new released macbook pro don't have the usual mini displayport but only have thunderbolt. I have purchased one VGA adapter for my old macbook pro 2010, and it worked fine. However, since I changed to the new macbook pro 2012, the VGA adapter stopped functioning if I connected the projector via the thunderbolt. I wonder what kind of adapter I need to connect a projector to my new macbook pro.

Best AnswerI hate to go against someone else's answer, but I have a 13" MacBook Pro (early 2011), and it does have Thunderbolt. All 2011 and later MacBook Pro's have Thunderbolt and all 2011 and later MacBook Air's have thunderbolt. If you have Thunderbolt, you can daisy chain you monitors together, like mentioned in the other answer. The Apple Thunderbolt Display is good for this, although a bit pricy ($999).

AnswerNo, this is only for the MacBook Air, Macbook Pro, and iMac computer lines. For an iPhone 4 you need the Apple 30-pin to VGA Adapter. If you are using an iPhone 5 you need the Apple Lightning to VGA Adapter.

How can I connect my mac book air 11'' to a LAN cable using USB ports for internet access if no wireless but only LAN connection?
My Macbook Air does not have a Port where a LAN internet cable could be plugged onto my Macbook.
I need a cable with one end that could be connected to the USB port on my Macbook and the other end of the cable will accept internet cable with LAN (ethernet) plug.
I need this cable connector so if I do not have access to wireless internet connection so I could use the LAN connections.
Thank you.- Asked by Inyang N

What is the length of the cable?

Best AnswerThis is more of an adapter really, so it's maybe 4 inches long at best. But it will require you to have a VGA cable to plug into this adapter and then into your TV- so you really just need to worry about the length of whatever VGA cable you get.

Is adaptor for cinema display available?
I have Apple macbook pro and cinema display as second monitor.
I wasnt to use the cinema display in portrait mode.
the Grey Ergotron Neoflex WideScreen LCD Display Lift Stand 33-321-057 requires a special adaptro from Apple.
IS this available, what is the cost?
Does Apple have its own solution for this purpose? I do not necessarily need capability for back and forth rotation.

What cable do I require to connect my Mac book pro to my Sony Bravia LCD tv
- Asked by Simon O
- Oct 7, 2009
- Flag as inappropriate
Best AnswerThat depends on your computer and your TV. If you have a new MacBook Pro with DisplayPort output and your Sony TV has VGA and HDMI inputs like mine, you could use this mini DisplayPort to VGA adapter with a male-to-male VGA cable, or you could use a mini DisplayPort to DVI adapter with a DVI to HDMI adapter cable. The DVI solution is preferable because the mini DisplayPort to DVI is digital while VGA is analog.
