can I use the imac as a display for a PC
I would like to use an iMac with Parallels to replace my office PC. I currently use two separate computers sharing one monitor (required based on security/proprietary software programs) through a A/B adapter.
While I am confident that I can transfer and run my main CPU programs/data on the iMac through virtualization, I have no idea if it is possible to use the iMac monitor with a similar adapter to work for the second Windows-based PC processor.
I do not want two monitors filling my work space.

My iBook G4 needs a regular display port, not mini display. Is it available?
Trying to connect my iBook G4 to a VGA adapter. Tried a mini adapter, did not fit. Was told I needed a regular Display Adapter.
Thanks,

Best AnsweriBook G4 models all have mini-VGA ports, and can mirror the laptop screen's image out to a VGA device. You need a mini-VGA to VGA adapter which is Apple part number M8639G/A.

I have a very old white Macbook model A1181, will this port fit into my computer?
The port and the plug don't look compatible. My port is a rectangle with two thin slots in the top and bottom and a thicker filled area in the center. This plug looks like it has the opposite. Which adapter do I need to hook up my macbook to a computer monitor?

AnswerThis will NOT work. You need to purchase the Mini DVI to VGA adapter. They are £16 as of Feb 2012 on the Apple website.

fax modem
I am using imac, OS version 10.6.8. I could not find a new fax modem at the on line Apple Store. The answer for my question at on-line support was Express Modem Card installation, but I don't think it applies to imac model at all. So, I don't know what's solution for sending and receiving fax in imac computer, if any. I am a PC user, and imac is my first Apple computer. Thanks.

AnswerYep. I have an EB-S6. Works perfectly at all offered resolutions, including 1920 x 1080. It seems to look best at 1280 x 1024 though - at 60 Hertz (works at 75 & 80 Hertz, too). Go ahead and make your purchase, with confidence.

Is the mini display port on the MacBook Pro 13 inch 2.53 any different from the old MacBook 2.4

Best AnswerThe new MacBook Pro 13 inch uses a "mini DisplayPort" which is different from the white MacBook "mini-DVI Port" and requires a different cable. (I have one of each, and I am about to order a new cable for the MacBook Pro, cos the old mini-DVI to VGA cable does not fit the MacBook Pro. Bummer!)

Connect using Composite (RCA) and/or S-Video
My old MacBook I had a Apple Mini-DVI to Video Adapter, it was the most handy thing ever. I travel a lot and connect to many different TVs, Composite cable is the most common and easy to use. Especially when TVs are bridged together. But I can't find anything like that for the MacBook "Pro"? What can I do? I really need Composite video capabilities.

I want to connect my MacBook Pro (Brand New) to my Receiver through hdmi to receive audio & video signals at same time 1 cord and get audio/video ??
I have a home surround receiver that up converts video ( 3 hdmi ins 1 out to tv). So i send the cable ( from wall ) service signal first to it then to tv. I want to send the MacBook Pro ( 13" & 15" brand new 2011) audio & video from mini dvi to receiver using just 1 one cable from laptop. Not using the earphone jack so i can get true surround sound from laptop and video signals. I have seen 1 on Newegg site do you have compatible cable/adaptor??
