Hi all, I have an iMac, 2.55 GHZ Intel Core 2 Duo, and I'd like to run my 30" all aluminum cinema display on it. Can I do this? TIA.
It's not the new 30", and I'm mainly concerned that I get good resolution out of the 30", as we shoot high res studio images to it. Currently running G5 powermac, world's most expensive paperweight.

Answer
No. For that you will only need the MiniDisplay Port to DVI adapter.

How do I connect a new Samsung BX2235 screen to my new macbook pro?
The mini dvi adaptor looks too short to work and the dual link was not recommended by the Apple sales team. Now I am confused - any advice appreciated.

Can someone from Apple please confirm if this product supports 330mhz pixel clock?
We are looking to use these for active stereo projectors running 1920x1200 pixels @ 120Hz refresh rate (which is about 308MHz pixel clock). Some other adaptors on the market only support 270MHz pixel clock (which gives us visible tearing in the image).

I Have a really nice, but really old 23" HD Cinema display (originally for G4). Is it possible to connect this ADC connection to a new macbook via dvi
The main problem is that the Cinema Display has no power supply on its own, only the old ADC connection. Is there an adapter that allows this functionality? Really do not want to throw this bad boy away.

According to Apple Support who I spoke to last night, the answer is no. This adapter is meant for DVI outplut to a monitor and can't be used for connecting a computer with DVI to the iMac with mini displayport. They are depending on 3rd party vendors to provide adapters allowing non-Macs to use the iMac as a display.

why would I need to spend £60 on a Mini DisplayPort to Dual-Link DVI Adapter? what is the advantage over the DVI adaptor that comes with a mac mini?
I'm about to buy a mac mini and will connect it to a 32" Philips HD TV via the DVI input. I'm totally stumped as to why I should buy a £60 cable when the mac mini comes with a mini-DVI to DVI connector anyway ... am I missing something here?
thanks!- Asked by Nik W

the dual link DVI adapter supports resolutions higher than 1900x1200. your tv has resolution of ~1900x1080 (if it is a 1080i or 1080p). for resolutions up to 1900x1200, the typical mini displayport -> dvi adapter that came with your mac mini will be sufficient. this dual link dvi is for people who want multiple displays or the 30" apple cinema display (which has a resolution much higher than 1900x1080)
