can i connect a G5 to the AIr Express via Ethernet, and access my network?
I have an existing wifi network (generic PC wifi network) and want to add a Airport Express downstairs to stream music into my home theatre system .
I also have a G5 tower (without wi-fi) which I was planning to connect to the ethernet port on the Airport Express. The G5 is too far away from the router to run a cat5 cable directly to it, so a short cat5 into the AE would be ideal.
Any advice as to whether the G5 will be able to connect to the internet using the AE as a bridge?- Asked by TN from Thirroul

can multiple airport expresses play different music at the same time from a single iMAC? I'm wondering if this could replace the SONUS device.
the SONUS device allows you to play unique music from each zone all working from a single PC. Can multiple APE's do the same?

Can I use 1 Airport Base Station to simultneously extend a Airport Extreme network, a wifi bridge & as a print server for 2 usb printers via a hub?
I currently have an Airport Extreme Base Station. I am loking to relocate my printers and an ethernet NAS to a cooler portion of the house. I was wondering if I could use an aiport base station to extend the airport extreme wifi network, and act as a usb print server (for two printers via a usb hub) and ofcourse as an ethernet bridge for my NAS.

When comparing the Express to the Extreme base station, how do they stand up when it comes to antenna strength and signal range?
I have an OLDER Airport Base Station and I'm thinking of upgrading it to a new Airport Extreme Base Station. But I'd like to know how that compares to the Express Base Station. They sound similar in basic specs. I don't have a need to support up 50 users or attached hard drives. But my main concern is how they compare to each other when it comes to the antenna and signal strength. Will the Express do just a good a job, or does the Extreme have a stronger antenna? I know the Extreme has the dual antenna support for 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz simultaneous connections. Does the Express have this also? I do live in a mixed 802.11g/b/n environment. So I really like the "dual antenna" feature.

If I'm simply extending my wireless network from another room, do I have to plug the device into the router via ethernet cable directly?
Basically, do I need to actually wire this device to my existing router/wireless router via ethernet cable, OR is it simply going to to connect to my network wirelessly itself and then extend the range of my wireless signal?
