Do I need to download software for my apple keyboard with numeric keypad??

Answer
I cannot answer for a PC but for a mac - No. It is 'plug n play'.
We sometimes have problems with the keyboard we are using (not an Apple one) on our MacMini because it is plugged into a USB hub and need to quickly unplug and plug back in the keyboard after restarting. That's the only keyboard problem we have had. When changing keyboards, it instantly works.- Answered by Marilyn O from New York

The total length of the keyboard cable is: 1.9 metres or 6ft 2 ins.
It is made up of 0.9 metre length cable attached to the keyboard and a 1.0 metre length 'extension' cable. Thus total length, 1.9 metre.
A jolly good sturdily feel keyboard although I have an annoying 'clacky' space bar!
Best wishes

is there a battery in the wireless keyboard? If yes, where is it located?

Best Answer
Yes. There are two AA batteries required for the wireless keyboard. They are located to the left side of the keyboard, exactly opposite the power button. You need a coin or similar object to turn the round battery door thread open.

Left handed version?
Numeric keypad on left side
- Asked by John Y from Jamesburg
- Nov 25, 2009

Answer
I have personally never seen one of these before, and certainly not by Apple. You may be able to purchase the smaller version of this keyboard and try to find a third-party retailer to get you a stand alone number pad to put on the left side, but Apple doesn't guarantee that these models work with their computers, so it may be hard to find one that you can use.

Is there an Apple keyboard for an HP machine using Windows 7?
I have a one year old Mac Pro which I love. Every so often I need to use my HP computer. The HP PC keyboard isn't as nice to use as the Apple. I would like to buy the Apple wired KB for the HP. Is one made?

The apple keyboard itself will work great with your HP machine... if you want the brightness and volume hotkeys to work though, you need to install the bootcamp drivers from a SL disc

How can I order the British layout keyboard?
It defaults to German when you add the British version to the shopping cart. This is even if you select the 'British' keyboard from the main shopping page showing all the keyboards. Also is this a PROPER British keyboard with SHIFT+2 = " and not @?

Answer
Hi, I have been having the exact same problem and it's driving me mad!! I found a rather lengthly way around it though:
1. Select a Mac mini as though you wish to purchase it.
2. You arrive at the configure your Mac mini page. Scroll down to "Apple Keyboard" and it allows you to select a British keyboard.
3. Click "Add to Basket" on the right hand side
4. When it displays the items in your basket, simply remove the Mac mini. You are left with the British keyboard in your cart.
A bit of a pain, I know, but I have been struggling with this for almost an hour so it seems the easiest (albeit only) solution at the moment.
