Does Apple in-ear headphones work wih Samsung Galaxy S2?
- Asked by Pallab B
- Oct 21, 2011

Answer
Apple in-ear headphones work as headphones on any device with a regular headphone jack. It's possible the microphone may work as well, but the buttons almost certainly wont. If you want to test this, find someone with the regular included apple earphones, and test them on your phone, as they have an identical microphone with buttons.

Are these Headphones Better Than The Beats By Dr Dre iBeats
Im Deciding Whether To Buy The ibeats Or These Apple In Ear Headphones
- Asked by Oscar F from Elgin

Best Answer
Headphones produce sound by the drivers built in them the Apple In-Ear Headphones have one dedicated for bass and one for the midrange and treble. Both are iconic but you are likely to attract more attention from thieves from wearing the iBeats than the Apple Headphones these days. I have had my pair for about 6 months and I am immensely impressed with the sound if you like bass and prefer the styling of the iBeats I would recommend it if you can find it for less than the Apple headphones otherwise the Apple In-Ear are superior.

I have the original Apple headphones, the $79.00 Apple upgraded headphones and the Bose $129.00 in ear headphones. I was impressed with the Apple headphones (both) until I bought the Bose headphones. They are at least 4 times better in quality, specifically in the range of sound and the ability to believe you were hearing a live performance. The Apple headphones provide good quality but once you hear the Bose, you will want to buy a $10 remote/mic for the Bose and never go back. Ultimatley, you get what you pay for. The Apple headphones that come with an IPOD are good for most people, and keep the cost down. The more advanced Apple Headphones($79) are a big step up, but if you are an audiophile or are looking for true high end sound, go straight to the Bose. Physically, the difference is that the Apple headphones push both high & low sounds through an "earbud", whereas the Bose send high sounds through the inner ear, but has two additional speaker ports in the "outer ear" that transmit the mid range and low range achieving true perfection.

What headphones are available for iPad?
My standard iPhone headphones don't seem to work for the iPad.

Then there's either something wrong with your headphones, or something wrong with your iPad, or perhaps you're not plugging them in far enough (I've found that some headphones need a good hard push to get that extra little "click" that puts them in place to work correctly)
Theoretically, any standard 3.5mm headphones will work with iPad.
However, I'm going to assume you mean a full-function headset that will do music playback controls, microphone, etc.
Basically, anything that is listed for use with an iPhone 3GS/4 will also work with iPad, as the following Apple Support page shows:
h t t p : / / support -dot- apple -dot- com/kb/HT3310
(sorry, no link posting allowed, had to "reformat" the URL)
I own a 3GS, an iPhone 4 and an iPad. The standard iPhone headset with mic, the Apple in-ear headset with mic, and a pair of Sennheiser BT210 bluetooth headphones all work perfectly with all of these devices, as well as on a 2009 Macbook Pro.
The volume, track change buttons etc. are fully functional. Apple has done a good job on cross-model compatability...

is the bass quality in this headphones good?
i am a bass boost type of person and i was wondering if the bass in this headphone is truely amazing or what?

Answer
While not 'bass driven', these earphones have an incredibly flat response for their price range. In practice, so long as you have a good in-ear seal with the silicon tips, the bass is quite incredible. It is detailed and clear, akin to putting on a pair of prescription glasses for the first time. You'll notice more than just the presence of a bassy beat, but the specific intricate qualities of it. These don't 'boost' the bass artificially, so at any listening level, there will be less of it. The tradeoff is less punchy, but much more faithful. I feel this detail more than makes up for a lesser volume. It makes bass more interesting, so while it is a bit quieter than in typical earphones, I certainly notice it more.
Professional music is mastered using speakers and headphones with a flat response curve, similar to these. The sound you'll get from them is precisely the same one the artists heard in the studio. They gave me a new appreciation for music, and I use them for hours every day, and have done for years. I really hope you'll give these a go. They're worth so much more than their price.- Answered by Jenna F from Redfern

Can I purchase the mesh caps without buying the head phones?
APPLE IN-EAR HADPHONES WITH REMOTE AND MIC
- Asked by Arlene M from Brooklyn

Best Answer
You'll want to phone Apple Care and speak to them about it. They've been providing people with replacement silicone bits, so I expect they're also able to provide replacement mesh caps. If you still have your caps though, you might find they could simply be cleaned with hot water and the likes, unless they're totally destroyed.
