Can this Universal Dock Adapter be used on the original Bose Sound Dock?
I have a original Bose Sound Dock which is not compatible for the iphone. By purchasing this Universal Dock Adapter, can the old adapter be switched out without sending it back to a manufacture?

Best AnswerThe short answer is no.
The universal dock adapters are made to fit their intended devices and are molded to fit the actual device. They cannot begin to make dock adapters to fit the multitude of sleeves and cases that exist. Some cases are made where the end close to the dock connector can slide off. The Otter Box cases like the Impact, Commuter or Defender cases are meant to be installed and left on. AnswerThis model will only fit the iPhone 3G and 3GS. It will not fit the original iPhone model.

Do you need composite cable with universal dock or will dock allow you to watch iPhone videos pics etc through tv?
I have an iPhone and want to watch videos through my tv, can this be done with the universal dock or composite cable or do I need both?
I also have surround sound with iPod/iPhone dock which allows me to listen to my tunes but doesn't allow visuals, does anyone know how this can be achieved?
