Will it tell me my heart rate and calories burned? I have the iPhone 4s
If I use it to go for a run or to go my insanity workout will it tell me my heart rate and calories burned after?
- Asked by Viersa N from Camden

AnswerIt will not be able to tell you your heart rate as neither the sensor nor the phone offer any sort of pulse monitor.
If you enter your height and weight into the app, it will approximate your calories based on the time and distance you've run.- Answered by Stephen K from Bowmanville

can I use for spinning?
By using the combination of Nike sensor + iPod touch, can I measure the results after a spinning session?
Heart rate, average pulse, calories, etc.- Asked by Ricardo L from Miramar

Answerno it does not work for spinning. I have one and tried to use for riding in the bike at the gym and had the sensor in my shoe, did a 20 min ride and it recorded none of it. No time, no kms. It has to sense movement. When I moved my foot on the peddle it recorded the time but no kms. Hope that helps

Does the Nike + Ipod Sensor works with the eliptical workout?
- Asked by Leovigildo C from Miami

Best Answerno it doesn't tried it on the eliptical and it does not sense the movement of the foot has to have the foot actually touch up and down to record. I have one and have tried on the eliptical and bike and neither have worked. Kind of disappointed that it only works for running and walking. Hope that helps

AnswerI have tried to use the nike + ipod app without the sensor and it doesn't seem to work. So to be on the save side go into the apple retail store and ask them, but I think you need to buy this in order for the app to work.

IS THERE A NIKE WORKOUT FOR THE IPOD CLASSIC?
- Asked by Lisa S from Coconut Creek

AnswerIf your looking for an alternative Nike make a band that has the same functions to track your runs. Go to niketown.com and search nike plus products. the band comes with a nike plus sensor so you don't have to buy it separate. Got it a few weeks ago and i love it. All you need is a computer with the internet and a usb port on it and you get the same thing as having it on a ipod.

will this work when my i-phone 3GS is locked, or do I need to leave the i-phone unlocked and the app running on screen?
I have tried several pedometers on my i-phone and although some do work relatively well, I need to leave the phone unlocked in my pocket in order for it to record the data. If I purchase the Nike + sensor and attach it to my shoe, will the i-phone record the movements even when locked and playing music?

Best AnswerAs long as you start your workout in the Nike+ App, it will continue to run while you exercise, whether your 3GS is locked or unlocked. It will continue to run until you hit the End Workout button or you have reached the specified goal under a preset workout routine.
