I have a 30 inch apple cinema display and want to mount it on a movable mount. Will this support the screen weight?

Answer
Yes - I just got this mount for my 30" Cinema and it fit fine and can support the weight. There are specific screws and "bumpers" for the 30" display, so it was designed with this product in mind.

Working with the 20 inch Apple Cinema Display, model A1081 (june 2004)?
I am comfused; on jan 10, 2010, someone asked if this would work with the 20 inch Apple cinema display, the anwswer was YES, But the guy who bought it said it DID NOT work... and there is no reply to that...
The thing es I have the "20 inch Apple Cinema Display, model A1081 (june 2004)" and I want to attach it to the "Ergotron's Neo-Flex® LCD & Laptop Lift Stand", that is why I need an adapter, and it is really important that it does work, because I will take it to Mexico.
So... does it work or not? ...what happened to this guy who says it did not worked?

Answer
This mount FITS ONLY THE OLD LINE OF APPLE CINEMA DISPLAYS (21, 23 and 30 Inch). There is another mount that looks similar to this one but is a little bigger, and is designed to fit the 24" Led Cinema Display and all 27" line of displays (including Thunderbolt Cinema Displays) and 27" iMacs. Unfortunately, none of the two mounts mentioned before fit on the 21.5" iMacs.

Does it work for the 23 inch Cinema displays with the aluminum base?
I have two 23" cinema displays side by side in my recording studio. I need my monitors closer and moveable. Looking at the new LX dual monitor arm from Ergotron, but I need the Vesa adapters. This is the one that will fit the monitors, right? Not the plastic rimmed 23 display, these are the aluminum based ones that preceded the 24" LED monitor.

Missing part in Cinema Display VESA Mount Adapter kit.
I just bought a 24" Cinema Display and then ordered the Cinema Display VESA Mount Adapter to mount it on a egotron arm. I watched a youtube video about how to install the adapter (which included the use of a plastic card (not included in the kit) to release the catch to gain access to the 8 screws and the EXTRA part that mounts on the cinema display (after removing the stand) prior to installing the VESA mount adapter. This piece of metal widens the existing mount from the display and provides the end holes so that the adapter can be mounted. This part was NOT in the kit! The kit is useless without this part. Shouldn't it have been in the box?

Answer
This is not the right VESA mount kit. You need MC434ZM/A because you have the LED Cinema Display.

Will this work with the 30" display
- Asked by Edward T from Winter Park
- Dec 23, 2009

Answer
From the 30" Display spec page:
"Requires optional Cinema Display VESA Mount Adapter (M9649G/A); Compatible with VESA FDMI (MIS-D, 100, C) compliant mounting solutions"
While I can't see the "M9649G/A" designation anywhere on the adaptor bracket spec page - If you search the store for "M9649G/A", this mounting adaptor is the only search result that comes back. So it MUST be the right one...- Answered by Richard M from Satellite Beach
