Can I connect Bose SoundLink speaker to my MacBook Pro via Bluetooth or can I do it another way for listening to my iTunes library?
This may be a dumb question considering I have been a Mac user for over 10 years and already have a Bose SoundLink Bluetooth Mobile II. My question is: can I connect my Bose System directly to my MacBook Pro via Bluetooth or can I go another route in order to use it for playing iTunes directly from my computer?
Thanks in advance for bearing with my ignorance on this issue, but I have searched both the Bose website and Apple's and found absolutely nothing. Yes. I know I can use my iPhone5 for doing this and do, this so don't go there. Thanks

What are the differences between “Bose SoundLink® Bluetooth® Mobile speaker II” and “Bose SoundLink Wireless Mobile Speaker”?
Besides the name change and the bi-folding cover, I fail to see any…

Best AnswerAnother difference between the speakers is that the II (second edition) has a newly designed cover for it that Apple didn't fully show in the pictures. I have the first edition and love it, but i hate the cover on it. the second one solved this problem by making it foldable, so it takes up less space while it is open. I personally think it is the coolest, most important difference!

do you have to sync it with your phone or ipad each time you use it? or can it be placed out of reach?
- Asked by Nicholas R from Elma

AnswerThe device doesn't do any sync. It is just a speaker. You still need to play the music on your iPhone/iPad but instead of being played in the earphones, the sound is relayed to the Bose speaker. (You can also play on both devices simultaneously if you want).

Can Bose SoundLink® Bluetooth® Mobile speaker be a alarm clock
DO I need a app or??
- Asked by Xiwen M from Miami
- Feb 3, 2013
- Flag as inappropriate
AnswerI would highly doubt that it can be used for an alarm clock because the unit isn't used for a prolonged length of time it shuts off completely. The only way that the unit turns on after this occurs is not through the iphone or iPad, but the power button on the Bose SoundLink itself.

Can anyone confirm whether or not this is compatible with the new Bluetooth-capable iPod nano (7th gen)?
- Asked by Tom R from Garnett

AnswerI managed to get my ipod nano (7th gen) to pair with the bose soundlink II. I had to clear the bose bluetooth pairing memory first by holding the bluetooth button until there was a low tone (about 10s), then the bose became visible to the nano.
