Answer
No. Just plug the Bose unit into a power source, connect it to any computer on your home wifi to set it up, download the software from Bose, and start playing music. We set it up in about 10 minutes and were able to play music from three different Macs, two iphones and an ipad, without any further syncing or learning by the unit.

Answer
When the speaker is connected to your wireless network there will be a small rectangular box appearing next to your volume control in iTunes. Click this and it will ask which output you would like to use for sound. Select the Bose Soundlink Air and hey presto - it will stream the sound from your Mac to the speakers!

You can select multiple speakers through iTunes, including the Bose SoundLink Air. When you click the multiple speakers menu in the lower right, a window pops up with speakers that you can select. The trick is to realize that the window only shows 2 outputs by default. You can either expand the window, or scroll down to see all the outputs available to you. (I almost returned this unit until I figured that little trick.) Good luck!

Yes, almost anything that produces audio on your phone with the exception of phone calls & voicemail.
However, it's not ideal in game apps because there tends to be a delay.- Answered by Bryan S from Lakewood
