Will this drive work for both our Protools 9 and Final Cut 7 needs on a macbook air?
I need to make sure this drive is qualified to work with my laptop's pro tools (the most recent version of 9 for laptop) as well as Final Cut 7. We are also using a new 11" macbook air, 500 gb solid state. Any input would be appreciated! Thx.

Can I use this as a primary drive for my iMac?
I love my new 2012 iMac but definitely the biggest minus is the slow 5400 RPM HDD. If its true that thunderbolt is as fast as internal bus could I not then use this as my primary drive and then use the internal drive for media storage. So I would do raid stripping 128 GB and put OS X on it. Would that work?
I don't care at all about portability or capacity- my only concerns are speed and aesthetics. I would have chose a 128GB SSD over the 1TB HDD if I could. (I'm in the cloud all the time in fact I'm posting this from the cloud right now. We have unicorns.)
Apple only offered a 768 GB SSD but only on the 27" and costing $1 more than the cost of my stock iMac. So this might be a good aftermarket solution.- Asked by Anthony T from San Francisco

Answer
It does not. Also to get top speed you have to have a power adapter not just run it attached to the computer.

Would this work well as a storage device for all of my downloaded movies, iTunes and photo storage. Want to have access across wireless network.

AnswerThis device is probably an overkill for your purpose. It was built for speed which will be negated by your wireless network. It does not offer enough capacity to be a media storage device. It requires a Mac computer with Thunderbolt port to share it across a network.
If I may suggest, look for a NAS (Network Attached Storage).- Answered by Maxim D from New York
