Is there a trackpad for moving the cursor? Would this work with the magic mouse/trackpad?
- Asked by Alison S from Takoma Park

AnswerNo track pad required. The iPad is still a touch sensitive device, not cursor driven. Your fingers will still work! Even if there were a track pad it would not be used.

AnswerNo. This keyboard is made by Logitech, a world renowned leader in electronics. Previous to producing the Ultrathin, Logitech designed the keyboard for the original Zagg folio keyboard/protection case which one numerous awards.
This Keyboard is better, good travel on the keys for the small profile. great aluminum finish, and when closed people mistake the two piece setup as a netbook.
I love that it simply magnetically locks into place, no hassle attaching! I use this everyday at work, in fact I'm typing this message with it right now. :)- Answered by Joseph F from Linden

Do you still need to touch the Ipad 2 screen to move it up and down or does the keyboard have keys to do this
We had another keyboard brand but the only thing you could to is mostly type emails. You still had to touch the screen to move the information up and down.

Does this keyboard cover have the exact same connection (dimensions) as the Apple smart cover?
I'm thinking of getting the iSkin Solo Smart back cover. It states it is compatible with the Apple Smart Cover, but I want to make sure the dimensions are the same for Logitech otherwise the back cover from iSkin will not work...

AnswerHello, the Ultrathin keyboard cover is just 0.31 inches thick. I had the back of my iPad covered with a super durable protection shield at my local mall. I also still use the Smart Cover & the Ultrathin cover simultaneously. This is great when I want to just use the tablet, and keep the Ultrathin in my briefcase when I need to type a report or blog.
It's well worth the money!!- Answered by Joseph F from Linden

is there any way to plug a thumb drive into this keyboard? an adapter for the micro usb?
i'm looking for any way to transfer data between an ipad and a thumb drive

AnswerHi. Thanks for your question -- it's a common one.
The ipad only supports photos via USB. to do that, you would get the camera connection kit, and it should allow you to plug in a usb key full of photos, although I haven't tried it.
Goodreader is really my preferred app for doing file transfers.
Also, Evernote is excellent as a go between between computer and ipad. The app store will highlight many other apps that work well together. (Mac or PC can run evernote.)

I don't see a trackpad, so how do you move the cursor? Would this work with the magic mouse or magic trackpad?
- Asked by Alison S from Takoma Park

AnswerYou use the iPad touchscreen as you would if no keyboard/mouse/trackpad were attached. So it's your finger (or a stylus if you use one) to position the cursor, select text etc. Personally I wouldn't want a mouse/trackpad with the iPad, it's to handhold and touch in my eyes, and I'm not using it for huge documents. But the keyboard is useful, even for the small bits of writing that I do on the move on the iPad, as I'm a touch typist and get a bit frustrated typing more than a sentence or two on the iPad screen.
