Answer
Even though Tagg -- The Pet Tracker utilizes the Verizon wireless network to communicate locations and status to pet owners, users do not need to have an account with Verizon. That is handled behind the scenes by Snaptracs. The tracker is set up to only work on Verizon, but users of the system can receive updates on any wireless network.

Can Tagg the Pet Tracker be used in more than one location, ot would this require two separate systems?
We have two homes, one in Florida, and one in Alabama. Could I move the base station and use it in both locations or would I need two systems. Also the Alabama property is 1300 a acres, in an irregular shape. Would this be a problem? Thank you

AnswerYou can have up to 10 pets on one account. You want to buy one master kit from Apple and that first pet will cost you $7.95 a month after the first three months. For additional pets, you would need to buy an "add-a-pet" tracker from Tagg and the monthly fee is only $.95 per additional pet each month.

I have 2 rottweilers and the like to play a lot (biting each other's neck). I wonder if it is resistant to this kind of shock?

Best AnswerYes. The tracker is resistant to that kind of shock. The problem you may run into is when your Rottweilers play and start biting each others necks is that they may bite on the tracker and it will detach from the collar. You might look at using harnesses for the tracker.

Do they make this for CATS?
I have a cat, and I want to know if they have a smaller version...
- Asked by Robert C from Jacksonville

Best AnswerTagg -- The Pet Tracker is recommended for pets over ten pounds. The tracking device weighs just slightly more than an ounce, but the overall size is driven by the battery and antennae. It is not likely that there will be a GPS + cellular tracking collar that is much smaller for some time. There have been some customers that have used the Tagg tracker successfully on cats, it really depends on the size of the cat and its tolerance for wearing a collar.
