Will this work with Lightning connector devices?
For example, iPhone5, iPod nano, iPod touch5th generation, iPad mini etc.

Best Answer
No. In my case, I have an iPhone 4S (30 pin connector) and I just ordered the iPad Mini (Lightning Connector). I think I'll buy the Lightning to 30 Pin Connector adapter, but, as this adapter will make the iPad be higher than the rear stand is, I don't know if it will fit well there. In any case, I'll try to set a longer bar or something like that. I guess that if XtremeMac launches a new dock like this one for Lightning devices, both docks will be Lightning.

Will it work without a charger wire?
I would like to buy it but first I need to know if it needs an charger wire placed on the outlet to charge my iOS devices without connecting it with a charger wire because if I was at the airplane, the airport, the mall, or if I was visiting someone's house I don't bring the charger and my iOS device power is very low or it has finished I would need it for that if it can charge the iOS without an charger wire.

The only way to charge your device is to connect it to a source of power using the cable.
You can plug the cable into a powered USB port (Often on a computer or similar) or into the adapter for use in the mains electricity (the wall socket in a house), but there is no way to charge your device without the cable.- Answered by Tom J

Will this charge two (new) iPads?
- Asked by Jennifer T from Phoenix
- Mar 25, 2012
- Flag as inappropriate
Best Answer
Yes. The output is 10 watts, just what the iPads need. It may not charge both of them as fast as just one because the wattage is divided between them, but it's nearly negligible. Seems like a good solution to cut down on cable clutter.

Will it support the original iPad with the Apple rubber fold-over case installed?
- Asked by Emily C from Hobe Sound
- Mar 27, 2012
- Flag as inappropriate
Answer
Yes. The rear supports adjust and lock into place for ABOUT any depth case. In the pictures there is a small bar on the top of each back rest. It is pushed in to adjust the required depth of the device you are docking and, when released, locks the back in place.
I placed a my wife's iPad with the rubber folder case on the charger where it is charging as this is being written.
I was worried about the weight of the base and "Tip Factor". While it is not impossible to tip over loaded with an iPad and iPhone it is unlikely if properly uased as the base has weight to support the devices. Have not put two iPads on the charger simply because we only have 1 iPad (, 2 iPhones, and 1 Nano) to charge as of this writing.
Sorry for the response delay. I took the plunge and so far happy with the product.
Hope this helps.- Answered by Greg R from Galena
