Best Answer
The device is waterproof up to 5 feet so you will have no problem sweating on it or running or riding in the rain with it.
You cannot use this Wahoo Blue HR in a pool because the wireless protocol it uses will not transmit data through water.

What is the max range?
- Asked by Leonel M from Chicago
- Apr 14, 2012

Answer
The range is 10 feet unobstructed but Wahoo says that when it loses connection to the iPhone, it keeps record of what has not been transmitted and resumes the transfer after connection has been picked up again. You should then not lose any data. They don't how long it keeps the records and how much it can store though.

Does this device work with the Cyclemeter app?
I have been using the Cyclemeter app for almost a year now and am expanding to include a heart rate monitor. The Wahoo Run Pack with a ANT+ heart rate monitor is compatible with the app but uses a plug-in dongle instead of bluetooth. Since this Wahoo Fitness Blue HR Heart Rate Strap does not specifically state it is compatible with Cyclemeter, I want to be certain before I purchase.

Answer
Yes.
The Blue HR will work with any compatible App (Wahoo, MapMyRun, RunKeeper, Runmeter, Endomondo, etc.) and you can have either your itunes music or internet music (eg Pandora) running simultaneously. Also, if you get a phone call, the app will run in the background and collect data while you are on the phone.- Answered by Mike S from Atlanta
