It looks like this dock uses the 30pin connector, so it won't work directly with the iPhone 5. But the solution for the iPhone 5 to be used with this dock would be one of the new 30pin to lightning adapter. The only other question is if it will fit in the space provided.

How does the iFusion work with an incoming skype call?
I use Skype for a home business. I work from both my desktop and iPhone. How does the iFusion handle incoming Skype calls?
- Asked by Dennis T from Santa Ana

Best AnswerYes. I use an iPhone 4S with iOS 6 and Skype works with the iFusion.
iFusion uses bluetooth for audio. Think of it as a bluetooth speakerphone or headset. So as long as the Skype app continues to support bluetooth audio it should continue to work. I also use the iFusion with the MagicJack app and it works just like it does with normal cell phone calls.- Answered by Brian W from Raleigh

will this work with iphone5 with the new adaptor attached
- Asked by Charanpal S from Vancouver

AnswerYes, but it doesn't look as elegant as it does with an iPhone4/4s docked, but the 30 pin adapter can be used to make it work.
To be clear, audio is handled by Bluetooth and there is a mode where the iFusion can act as a speakerphone even if the phone isn't sitting in the dock.
The 30 pin connector was only ever used for two purposes. To charge the phone and if you have a micro usb cable from the iFusion connected to your computer, to sync the phone with iTunes.
The 30 pin lightning adapter allows charging and sync so from a functional perspective it works just like it does with an older pre-iPhone 5.
Sitting on the 30 pin lightning adapter, the iPhone 5 comes within just shy of 1/2" or approx. 1.1 cm from the top of the iFusion.
It doesn't look terrible, just not as streamlined as the iPhone 4s did.- Answered by Brian W from Raleigh

Can i answer the phone just by picking up the handset like an old school regular phone?
My mother is old and can't use small buttons so being able to just pick up to answer would be great.

I own an iFusion and from I can see there is no obvious solution to wall mounting. The back is curved and there is a bracket used that is used to support it on the desktop. While the bracket moves to allow different angles it can't be removed and in the most flat "shipping position" it appears to impede wall mounting. I suppose a motivated MacGyver type could find someway to make it happen but it appears to be designed for desktop use.

will this work with iphone5 with the new adaptor attached

AnswerIn short, yes. Because the iPhone connects to the base via Bluetooth, the handset/speakerphone functions work as they should. It (the Lightning to 30-Pin Adapter) isn't an attractive solution, but until iFusion comes up with something better, charging the phone happens as it should.

Can I pair two phones at one time?
We want to ditch our home phone and my wife and me would both have iPhones and we wanted a corded phone for the kids.
- Asked by Eli G from Kitchener

AnswerFrom what I could tell it would only allow 1 phone pairing at a time and if you pair your phone and you have a Bluetooth headset paired with the phone, you need to ensure the headset is off and not broadcasting while you are using iFusion.
Another gotcha can be if you have your iPhone connected to your car and your wife or husband starts the car and your phone has a higher priority than theirs, you might loose the Bluetooth from the iFusion to the car.
We have a BMW and it allows you to select which phone will take priority when you start the car so that if you want your phone to be the one it pairs with even if you have another paired phone in the car.
Since our cars in the garage are close and within Bluetooth range, sometimes my phone will switch over to the car when my wife takes my car. Not all the time but certainly something to think about especially if you use for business a lot.- Answered by Gregg S from Austin
