AnswerNo it doesn't ,,you only need to connect to the router first time you set it up in your home ,,for about 5 min.
Then unplug it from router and it becomes wireless ,very easy to set up if you follow instructions step by step ,,I have one and I really like it when I'm not home I can check on my dogs and listen also even talk to them ,,with my iphone or my ipad ,,- Answered by Michel D from Ile Du Grand-calumet

I want to know if this ibaby monitor can use in China?And my iphone is also bought in China,is it available to connect with the camera?
Our country voltage is 220V,do I need to buy a voltage converter?I'm afraid if I don't use a converter,the camera will be burned.And if my camera use WIFI in home,my iphone use 3G network or my office WIFI,does it work?I very need to know the answer,please help me.

AnswerI don't believe it is recommended to use the monitor outdoors since it is not water resistant and needs to be connected to a power outlet.

AnswerYes you can. It has a good night vision range. I have had it set up in complete dark and been able to see the whole room.
