what is the best keyboard for the new ipad?
I will need to get a keyboard since I dislike typing on the screen, but I want to get one that perhaps has a slightly raised keyboard. I would be using it mainly at home.

I just bought a new iPad, 3rd generation, and I think the Zagg case with keyboard is a very good buy and offers great protection. I bought one and love it. I have compared prices and features of other keyboard/keyboard case combos and I think it is the best.
Just my opinion, but I would check into it. I bought mine at Best Buy with my iPad. They only offered white and black. I have since found out you can purchaser many different colors online.- Answered by Nancy P from Wentzville

Does this work on iPad 2 models that are only wifi, and not 3G?
I am looking to get this so I can easily take notes on my iPad and not have to lug my MacBook Pro everywhere. I have an iPad 2, 16Gb wifi model. Will this wireless keyboard work (since it works off of Bluetooth)?

Battery/power life?
Hi. I have three questions:
1. What is the range of hours one pair of batteries would last for this keyboard (given that it would naturally vary upon the amount of usage)?
2. Is there any way to plug the keyboard directly into an outlet/power source?
3. How much warning (if the keyboard is in constant use) does the 'low battery' light (assuming that there is one) give?
Thank you in advance!
PS (Sorry) Am I correct in assuming that the wireless connection of this keyboard is sufficiently secure to prevent a nearby computer/ipad/etc. from picking up, intentionally or accidentally, what I am writing?
Thank you again!- Asked by Evelen H from New York

Does the iPad need a stand for this keyboard?

Best Answer
Yes. The folding stand that comes with the keyboard isn't made to support an iPad. Not big or strong enough. Works well for an iPhone or Touch though.

Does this include a belt clip or is it easy to carry?
I want to be able to just carry my iPad2, which has a case, and the keyboard in one hand without it being too unwieldy. When folded, does it have a belt clip or is it small enough to carry in one hand with the iPad?

does the Built-in stand for iPhone and iPod touch works for ipad 2?
- Asked by Ana Lucia K
- Jul 3, 2011
- Flag as inappropriate
Answer
No,the Built-in stand for iPhone and iPod Touch does not work for iPad 2 because iPad 2 is too big for the Built-in stand(the built-in stand is only big enough for iPod Touch and iphone). For the iPad you would need to buy a separate stand or an Apple iPad Smart Cover, which protects the screen and can act as a stand for the iPad.

Does this keyboard allow you to send, forward, or reply to an email without having to touch the iPad?

I doubt it. You can't adjust the button mapping on the iPad when you connect a bluetooth keyboard, and this item doesn't specifically list that functionality. However, it will definitely be faster than trying to type emails out on the iPad.
