I use my nano as a watch and also run the pedometer all day. I use about 75% of a charge in one day, so unfortunately I have to charge it every night. It is still worth it to me - get tons of compliments and really like the functionality.

what is the best looking band for the red finish nano? I wnt a good quality but also a good tie-in for the Nano.

Answer
The Black plastic & metal bands look pretty good w/the red Nano. No matter what you choose you will still get comments "thats a great looking watch" & then when you show them what it does they go WOW, or in the case of person I met at hardware store last week. He left right afterwards to go to the Apple store to get the watch band Nano combination.

How do your orient the face 90 degrees counter-clockwise so that it faces you?
- Asked by Adrian B from Bowling Green

Answer
I had the same problem When I got my "watch" for Christmas. I took a short time to find the solution. But it turns out to be very simple & in line (of course) with how Apple rotates other things in the Mac, iPod & iPad.
Solution:
Place 2 fingers on the WATCH display & rotate your fingers (clockwise or counter clockwise) until the display is facing the way you want. Remove fingers from display & your done.
Note: I used to have the buttons faceing toward my wrist, but now have them faceing toward my elbow. Reason - If it is raining you would be more likely to get water in the Apple Connector, with a greater chance for damage (caution when washing hands). It's also a great night light, if you chose one of the brighter watch face displays. Hope you enjoy yours as much as I do mine. I get at least 4-5 comments a week about it from strangers, e.g. "cool watch" & thats when its off, then you turn it on & they go "COOL".- Answered by Jim S from Thousand Oaks

Does the darker color match the graphite iPod?
- Asked by Sherolyn B

Answer
I would agree with the prior answer-both look great. I had the darker combo originally as a gift & switched it at the Apple store to the silver with brushed silver metal band (my ring is a Mokume-Gane wedding band (combo of silver & palladium) & I have a silver cuff bracelet, so the silver combo just works a little nicer for what I wear. In addition it also looks great with the black plastic band (brother in law has that combo).
Wait till you wear it, you will get a lot of comments on how great it looks, even when its off. Then turn it on & WOW them. It's fun.- Answered by Jim S from Thousand Oaks

A little more to the masculine side due to the size of the band. Think Seiko/Casio

Answer
My postage scale says 3.8 oz. for the 6th generation Nano and Hex watchband... less than one Seiko and more than another Seiko watch that I own. It feels substantial but I find it a very comfortable weight.

I have a large wrist. How big is the band?
- Asked by Andrew K from Wake Forest
- Aug 21, 2012

Answer
I have a wrist that is on the smaller side & had to have 2 links removed. The band is now 6" long, from pin to pin connectors. Each link added would add aprox 3/8' extra length. The locking clasp do not have any adjustments (most locking clasps doe allow some adjustment). If possible try it on at a Apple store or order wher you would be able to return it. The other option would be to order the plastic band. My brother in law has the black one & it also has a cool look. Hope this helps.

does the clip in clip out system scratch either the clip or the nano? It seems like with the angle it goes in, that it would eventually wear on both
it just seems to slide in a bit stiffly. Also, any word on the laxity of the clip in system?

Answer
I've had the band for awhile now, and have taken my iPod Nano out regularly. I still do not see any marks, or scratches, on both products. It does go in at an angle when you clip it in though, and can be a pain sometimes (You get use to it). If you read the box, that the band comes in, it does say it is a special type of metal that won't scratch your iPod. So in other words.. No it will not scratch your iPod from taking it in or out. And it shouldn't put wear on either one of these products.
