How does it compare to M-Audio's JamPack device?
I had bought the JamPack a while ago. It can connect to the Garage Band on my new iMac and do a decent job. Is this device superior in any way to that old one?

Does this work with the Iphone 3GS?

Answer
I did send an email to apogee and they told me no it does not, but that was before the new os update for 3gs/iphone4. I was told however by Apple that there is very little difference between the 3GS and Iphone4 (ie: Facetime and HD recording) and it should work but will let know if it does. I still dont understand how it will work as the Irig has a free app to customize sound directly on the phone and the apogee jam does not

Answer
It comes with a usb cable. Plug one end into your jam and the other end into your mac. The unit is class compliant (no drivers), so simply go to system preferences and choose "Jam" as the input device. Then just use any application that accepts the CoreAudio standard.

Sorry I used the wrong name (JamPack) in my initial question.
