Best AnswerYes, I have it and prefer it to the clear model.The smoke black provides a matte surface,which I prefer,and it makes it easier to grip.The apple logo looks awesome through the black case when it light up.

Best AnswerSimply check the mousepad , if you have a Trackpad button at the bottom of the trackpad and it's 13" then it's 1st Gen , if you have the multi touch glass trackpad then you have the 2nd generation :)

AnswerYes, it does. But ultimately the Protection is worth it. If overheating is an Issue for you, I suggest the Incase high gloss Perforated shell.

AnswerThe Speck SeeThru Satin comes in many colors, but the only color that is available for the 11'' MacBook Air is Black Satin. If you like the SeeThru line there is also a clear one molded for your computer model.
