Do we need to buy a blue-tooth headset also?

This is a wristband only. No Nano with it. No head set with it. You put your own Nano, purchased seperately, into the wristband. You can use the headset that came with the Nano, or you can buy a blue tooth.

Yes, you can. Your iTunes Account is not just your iTunes Account, it is your Apple ID. An Apple ID is used for iTunes Purchases, Mobile Me, The Apple Online Store, and a few other things I can't think of right now. I know this is true because I have bought an iPod Touch with my iTunes Account.

The plastic back on this strap looks like it has a weak stress point that can easily break. Can anyone offer an impression at how rugged this is?

can you drive with the watch on and listen to music without any connections
i would like to get in my car turn the car on them turn the nano on and simply play the music wtih out having to connect anything.be absolutely free.

No you can't. This device has no external sound output, so it has to either be plugged into the earphones, or into an external speaker in order to hear anything.

No the design makes it impossible for the nano to unclip and be removed from the band unless you press it open and slide it out.

Does the Nano fit in aligned with the plastic backing? When I tested two in the store with my Nano, the Nano stuck out on the left side a little.
Sticking out on the left side made it more difficult to push the power button on the right side to turn on the display (since the plastic backing gets in the way a bit).

Mine has the same issue, it seems there was slight error in engineering this strap.
The plate does get in the way of the power and volume buttons, but only very slightly. You'll get used to it.

What sort of material is the watch?
I would like the watch band, but am wondering how comfortable it is. I would like to wear it everyday, but i am not sure if it suitable for that. Does it rub? Irritate? Leave marks on the skin?

Yes, as long as it doesn't cover the sides or back of the nano. A screen protector works if it covers the screen only.

Yes this is one of the reasons it was created. Just keep sweat or water from the recharging port ( the left hand side) and don't wear it in the shower. ( I almost do this once a week cause I wear the Nano all the time)

9.5 inches from end to end with 8 holes (settings) for the smallest to largest wrists. Also comes in all colors that the nano comes in. The apple.com site only lists red and black.
