Answer
Since it works with iPad 1st Gen and 2nd Gen, most likely it will work with iPad 3rd Gen. B&W does not recommend you dock an iPad; however, it does work. They recommend Aux input or AirPlay (iPad 2 and up). A 1st Gen iPhone works docked or aux input with the Zepp Air as well.

Does the Zeppelin-air fit an iPhone that is in an Otter box?
I have an iPhone 3GS with an Otter box. It doesn't fit in the docking stations for iPhone due the bulk of it. I don't want to get rid of the Otter box because it really protects me from my clumsiness!

Best AnswerThanks everyone, I found that a toslink to 3.5 optical jack makes this work beautifully. It cost AU $11 & saved me upgrading for no good reason. It is like I have a new Zepplin!
