Answer
This *should* work. The Apple CinemaDisplay has a Mini DisplayPort cable, which will not display a DVI "signal" without some extra processing, which is why this box uses USB for power.
It will work with a mac, and should work with your NVIDIA Quadro, but as always with this sort of thing, do some extra web searching before ordering.- Answered by Petie M from Christiansburg

Answer
Yes, it is possible. As long as your graphics card on your PC machine is capable of passing Dual-Link resolution up to 2560X1440 (native resolution for iMac 27"), you should be fine. This was tested in Atlona's labs before.

Answer
As long as Mini DisplayPort is based on Displayport and pretty much is the same type of signal, no conversion is needed and you can simply use a DisplayPort to Mini DisplayPort adapter which Atlona carries to different models; AT13022-AD and AT13022-2.

Will this work with an iMac (mid-2007)?
I'm looking to attach a 30" ACD to my 24" iMac. The specs on the iMac video card (ATI Radeon HD 2600 Pro) claim: "Two integrated dual-link DVI display outputs. Each supports 18-, 24-, and 30-bit digital displays at all resolutions up to 1920x1200 (single-link DVI) or 2560x1600 (dual-link DVI)". And this ATLONA product description sounds like it will work. Thoughts?

Answer
No, the DP400 won't work for your application. As long as you have an iMac (mid-2007) as a source which has Mini DVI (video connection type) while 30" Cinema Display's got DVI as a video connection type, there's no need to convert such a video connections(Mini DVI to DVI) using our DP400. For your application, all you need is to use a Mini DVI to DVI adapter and connect your 30" monitor directly into that adapter.
You may also have to keep this in mind that resolution is going to be limited to 1920X1200 (single-link) as far as Mini DVI's limitation and you won't be able to get the max resolution on your 30" Cinema display which is 2560X1440(native resolution).- Answered by Beneil K from San Jose
