I'd like to place the unit up high in my kitchen but there is no remote control. Does the unit turn off on its own?
I want to keep the speaker up high on top of the cabinets to produce an effect similar to an installed speaker in the ceiling, but wouldn't want to waste the battery power if the unit does not shut off on its own.

Answer
No reason why it shouldn't work in the bathroom as long as the battery is charged and it can connect via BT to the paired device. However, high levels of humidity and electronic devices don't usually mix well, so might be a good idea to avoid a particularly steamy bathroom environment.
