How good is this as a speakerphone?
It says there's a microphone, so this can be used as a conference room speakerphone. How well does it work for that? Is it full duplex? How does it handle background noise and echo? We'd be using it mostly with Skype - any experience using it as a Skype speakerphone? Many thanks!

Best Answer
Although the top and base of Jambox are solid plastic and could probably survive a few spots of rain, the sides are made of finely perforated metal and would allow water to reach the electronics inside. So no, not waterproof.

Why would a bluetooth speaker be better or worse than the soon to be released airplay speakers?
- Asked by Jason D from Allen
- Nov 18, 2010
- Flag as inappropriate
Best AnswerBETTER because BT works just about anywhere between your device and the JamBox. AirPlay will use WiFi and you'll need access to an existing WiFi network instead of creating your own BT network
WORSE because BT doesn't have the bandwidth for full range audio. If you're a critical listener, you may not be satisfied. Less critical listeners probably won't notice the difference anyway.- Answered by R A M from Hayward
