The tips are meant to come off; the earphones come with multiple tips in different sizes. If you happen to lose the ones that fit you, replacements can be ordered from Klipsch for relatively cheap.

Are these just as good as the Bose MIE2i or better.
At the same price point, I am thinking of getting a pair for running and working out. Im in need of buds that stay in my ear while moving, allot. Anyone out there use these for running? I'm trying out the bose at this time and wondering if I made the right choice. Any feed back is appreciated. My max budget is US$150. Shhhh... don't tell my wife.

The Bose headphones are not in-ear. They do not actually block out all of the external sound but they do sit very well in your ear and direct sound into your ear canal. The Klispch will have deeper bass because they're in-ear. Both are very comfortable and sound quality is comparable. I personally prefer the sound tuning of Klipsch over Bose in general (for all products). Lastly the Klipsch are probably better for running and other sports.

The Klipsch site says that these headphones are compatible with the iPod 3d generation, but your site does not include this iPod as compatible. Why?
What functionality is lost between the iPod 2d generation and iPod 3d generation? I'm interested in these headphones but don't want to purchase something that will not work. Thanks.

Answer
If you are talking about the 3rd generation iPod Touch, then the functionality is the same as the 2nd generation iPod Touch (it is also compatible with iPod Touch 4th generation, iPhone (4, 3GS), iPod nano (6th, 5th, 4th generation), iPod shuffle (4th, 3rd generation), iPod classic, and iPad.
