Is the pouch a hard case like previous Sennheiser foldable models?
I have had foldable Sennheiser headphones similar to these in the past (white ones, don't know model off hand because they were stolen). I was wondering if the "pouch" or carrying case is a hard one? I loved the hard case that my last pair came in.

Are these headphones compatible on an airplane sound system to watch movies?
- Asked by Bonnie R from Thornbury

Answer
Depends on headphone receptacle of IFE system installed on the aircraft. If it's single stereo 3.5mm receptacle than those work. If you fly on aircraft with system using two receptacles per headset you'll need an adaptor, and with adaptor it also works OK.

how is the sound quality? is it comarable to over ear, or around ear headphones?

Best Answer
The sound quality exceeded my expectations. Before trying them, I thought there was going to be a lot of environment noise similar to the old Walkman headphones of the 1980's. This was not the case. These are spectacular headphones with great portability. If you are a true audiophile, perhaps you should look at models in a different price-point, HOWEVER, for the cost of these, and the portability, they are perfect. They deliver a full range of tones, offer decent privacy, and are VERY light and comfortable. If your needs are similar to mine, BUY THEM!!!

How long is the cord and how far down does the remote hang? And where is the mic, on the remote?
Also, has anyone tested both this one and the Sennheiser MM400 bluetooth one? Both fold up which I like, but is the bluetooth worth the nearly $200 extra? I'm more concerned about comfort than sound quality, I have gone through 2 around-the-ear headsets that wrap behind the head, one folded up, but both were cheap and therefore only lasted months, and both were uncomfortable after prolonged use (I wear them at work all day) Also, I don't want the kind of noise canceling that blocks EVERYTHING, I need to hear my boss when my attention is needed. Anyone who had tried both I'd like to hear your opinion. Thanks

Answer
1. The cord is 1.2m (3.9 feet)
2. Mic is on the remote, 5.9 inches away from the left ear
3. There are some worsening in bluetooth-transferred sound. If you prefer sound quality to convenience, choose wired headphones- Answered by Aliaksandr H from Sammamish

Answer
For broken or worn-out ear pads - get them directly from Sennheiser. Call them up. The pads are cheap, even after you include the postage that they will charge.

Answer
My set just came in and I tried it on my iPhone and on my windows desktop running iTunes. The remote doesn't do anything on the desktop. So I guess it's set for interfacing with the iPod/iPhone hardware.
On the iPhone, it works well though.- Answered by Martha L from Mississippi State

Answer
Yes it is. It works seamlessly. The mic is really good when using skype or other VoIP apps. I hope they get the page right as it does not show outright compatibility with Itouch 4. However, I got myself one and it works fine. Cheers!

I'm not sure which bumper do you use, but the headpnoes' jack is slim enough. It's thinner than the usual jacks.
