Unless it's fully waterproof, which it isn't, it will get wet inside.
I used to ride a motorcycle in very nasty weather conditions. What I found as a solution is to wear the backpack under the rain jacket. It doesn't look super sexy and you can't put much stuff in the backpack this way. But it does work if your backpack is not fully waterproof.- Answered by Ivan V from Jersey City

Answer
I own this bag and think it is a great way of carrying a macbook and iPad and related accessories. While I have no experience of the Thule, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this bag.

Answer
No. This would not be the right back for you. It is a "Compact" backpack. Go with the Incase Nylon Backpack, which has another front pocket for a lot more storage.

So this backpack doesn't have side pockets that fit water bottles? Because that feature is important to me.
I'm a college student who loves the pockets and macbook compartment in this backpack, but I really would like water bottle holders on the side so I can fit a water bottle in one, and an umbrella in the other. If it doesn't, are there any other similar backpacks that do have the water bottle holders? Thanks.

Answer
Unfortunately no, but I tuck a water bottle inside the bag and it works just fine for me.

I need a backpack for my iPad, notebooks, and school supplies, is this a good bag for that use?

It depends on the notebooks size and how much school stuff you carry with you. I saw the Backpack in the Apple Store and tested it. Any 15 inch notebook (or smaller) fits plus iPad (there's an extra Interior slip pocket for iPad).
I also thought about this Backpack for school but I'd say it is too small. I always have lots of books, files, headphones for the iPod and so on (on an average 3 books, 3-4 files, sometimes a SLR camera) with me. So I'd rather take the Incase Nylon Backpack for school. It has much more storage! Unfortunately it has not been updated yet (I mean with an extra Interior slip pocket for iPad).
To come to an end you can use the bag for notebooks and iPad but I'd be careful with school supplies. It would be really annoying to change the bag always if you'd like to take some more with you. So I suggest take the Nylon Backpack, it's only 10$ more.- Answered by Niklas F from Santa Monica

Does this fit a 13" Macbook Air without sliding around too much and also does it have enough room to fit a DSLR camera?
Would it fit the 2008 model 13" macbook air and even if it slides around would it be still protected fully or would i have to buy a sleeve so that it fits more snugly?

Answer
Your Air will fit snuggly in the faux-fir lined pocket. Your DSLR will fit, but it's a wee bit awkward. You'll need to put some padding around it. I was able to fit a digital recorder, a DSLR, an additional lens, a point-and-shoot digital camera, an iPad, three battery chargers, two extra batteries, my iPhone and my 13" MacBook Air.

Can this backpack fit the13" macbook with an incase or speck hardcase shell case on it?

Answer
Yes.
The backpack is designed for 15" and smaller. If it can house a 15", then it will have no problem with holding a 13" plus the sleeve/case.- Answered by Derek D from Broken Arrow

Will this bag fit my lunch bag as well as my macbook, charger and hard drive?
- Asked by Bernard G from North Bay

Answer
Yes. Your MacBook will fit in the special sleeve for it, your charger will fit in another pocket, and your lunch (depending on the size) will fit in the main part of the backpack, and so can your hard drive. I am able to fit my MacBook Pro, the charger, and all my school books in it, so you should be fine.

does it come in red colour or other colour?
- Asked by Aiman T from Kajang

Answer
Although this bag comes in other colours from InCase itself, I highly recommend going to the Apple Store to buy it in person or ordering it online from Apple for the sole reason that you'll get fast, FREE shipping. Ordering from non-Apple/non-Canadian sources may surprise you with other fees besides shipping.
InCases backpacks in all available colours can be seen at their website.
