My Mac has Model Wireless Network Adapter 802.11g installed. Does this mean that I already have the 802.11n installed. If not, if I install it will I gain better reception to my wireless transmitter?

802.11n was introduced into the Mac range mid 2007. No 'non-Intel' Mac's have the hardware to support 802.11n.

My wireless router works on my Apple laptop ok but the gMac is an older model and I want to know how I can set it up so I can use the wireless router on this machine also? I think I need an airport card, but I can't seem to find one on the store, nor am I clear if that's the solution or if I need anything else as well?

I have "Airport Express". My wireless card is "Airport Extreme". Airport Express utility shows 802.11n. Do I need this enabler for my card?
DO I NEED THIS PRODUCT
I use the small $99 unit, "Airport Express" for my wireless network. I have Time Warner Cable for my Internet provider.
My computer (MacBook) shows that I have an "Airport Extreme" card installed. The "Airport Express" Utility shows 802.11n.
QUESTIONS:
1. Does this information indicate that I have this feature, or just the capability
to use it?
2. Is this particular product needed to enhance my security? Or, it is
dependent on my internet provider anyway?
3. Do I need to purchase this product?- Asked by SK from Burlington
