What do I need for Video Editing
I need to buy a macbook pro for college next year and I will be editing video. I've been looking at the retina display macs more because I like the flash hard-drive. I already have a 2TB external hard-drive so that will cover all movie and music needs.
My question is though will 128GB of flash storage be enough to hold all my programs, Final Cut Pro 7 or 10, Apple Motion, Adobe After Effects, Adobe Photoshop, maybe even Logic pro. Last time I checked I couldn't find a way to save these programs to the removable hard-drive. Also, would it be better worth my money upgrade from the i5 processor to the i7 processor?- Asked by Zach M from Darlington

Can I run windows on Macbook Air with 256GB HDD?
I'm thinking about getting a used Macbook Air. 13" with 256GB flash memory. Now my brother has an Air but a 128GB flash memory and I can't split the drive for Mac and Windows. Some of my programs that I use require Windows and I was wondering if its possible to run windows on a 13" Air with 256GB flash memory?

Macbook Pro 2012 enough to handle Modo, Photoshop, and zbrush?
Hi I was wondering can the Macbook Pro 2012 with upgraded 16gb rams with the High-res glossy upgrade enough to handle Modo/Maya, Photoshop, and Zbrush. This is the 2.3ghz with the 512mb video card. I'm planning on using this for College as i'm an Art major and I need a laptop that can Handle all three of those software and maybe even other 3D rendering programs. This Laptop is design as a workstation and not for gaming. So I was wondering with the spec I have will it be enough. Please don't get all technical on me as i'm new to Macs. Also this wont be doing any Video Editing at all and i might upgrade the main HDD into a SSD in the future. Thanks in advance and i'm simply buying a Mac so that i can use both Mac and PC in my field. I have a powerful PC desktop at home.

Which computer should I get?
I'm currently using my Late 2010 MacBook Air 11" (1.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Due / 2GB DDR3 Ram / SSD) which I've been using as my primary computer, connected to a Samsung 27" display and my desk.
Recently, my computer has become slower and slower ever since the upgrade to Mountain Lion, it also doesn't help that I'm using quite intensive applications like Vega, Chrome (Avg. 10 Tabs) and Skype.
I use my computer for work as I work from home as a Network Security Consultant, so it's quite important for me to have the best hardware possible and for it to be at least 3 years future-proof.
I was thinking about the MacBook Pro Retina 15" (16GB Ram / SSD / 2.8GHz Intel Core i7) or the iMac 27" because since I have the MacBook Air, the portability of my primary computer won't matter.
I normally use my computer for 12-16 hours a day using applications such as Xcode, Eclipse, Wireshark, Chrome (10 Flash intensive tabs running), Skype (6-way HD conferences which can last up to 12 hours a day), and for personal use, I edit photos in Creative Suite 5, edit 1080p movies in iMovie and play games such as Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, Left 4 Dead 2, etc.
Which computer would you recommend?- Asked by Kree L
