Can I transfer my apps (progress) and data from an iPod to an iPhone?
I am planning on getting an iPhone 4S in April next year, and I have an iPod touch now. I have games and such on my iPod and I was wondering if I could transfer that data and progress from my iPod to the new iPhone through iCloud or iTunes. I wouldn't like to have to carry my iPod around just to play my games. Thanks! d(^_^o)

Best AnswerYes! Using iCloud that comes standard with your new 4S (but you'll probably want the iPhone 5 by next April), you can sync with your iPod touch (settings-icloud-storage and backup- back up now) and get all of your info onto the new device. If you think you may need a little help doing so, when you get your new phone, be sure to update your iTouch to IOS 5 and bring it in to the apple store when you're ready to purchase the 4S. They'll help you transfer everything there... or you can easily do it at home by backing up onto iCloud with both devices. Hope this helps!

Notifications for mail when phone is in sleep mode
After 5 min my phone goes into Sleep? mode. How do I know if I have mail without turning it back on to check. I guess I just want to know if there is a notification(like a ring)
- Asked by Lynn P from Issaquah
- Apr 20, 2013

AnswerYou can set the ring tone for mail in Setting-General-Sound. If the phone is on vibrate it will not ring for anything.
You can also set push notifications for mail in Settings-Notifications. You can also set push notifications for only those contacts that you have set as VIP Contacts, to avoid every email you get coming through as a push notification.- Answered by Annie O from Madison

do I need the iphone 4s to access the icloud to sync the calendar from my ipad?
I want to have a phone where I can easily sync my ipad (1 = original version). I know the calendar on my ipad is backed up to the cloud. According to the iphone 4s description, the 4s offers access to the icloud as if the 4 does not. Do I need the 4s or will the 4 work?

Best AnswerNo the iOS software is built on security meaning it isn't affected by malware and if your running iOS 6 your iPhone will ask for permission when a third party app trys to access photos or contacts etc.

Do I just need wifi to FaceTime?
Im going on holiday and want to be able to FaceTime my dad without it costing a fortune, can I just use the hotels wifi?

Best AnsweriOS 6 enables you to go over cellular and wifi. I would recommend to keep your facetime over cellular to an all time low because facetime will consume your data quickly.
