If you are a Wifi + 3G user, well, it's up to you. If your house has wifi network, you can connect to it and you can begin accessing Internet.

does cellular data on an iPad Mini mean it has a phone?
I'm thinking of getting an iPad mini but need a phone as well so, if it says Wi-Fi & Cellular does that mean it's a phone as well?

Best AnswerNo. It means it has 3G access. You could download an app (such as Talkatone) to use it like a phone, and use iMessage for texting, but it could only act similar to a phone. Personally, the only difference is the larger size and weight, but some may say otherwise.

Best AnswerThe new iPad doesn't come with any of those accessories, only the charger. However you can buy these accessories from Apple (despite them being somewhat expensive, although they are very useful and increase your iPad's capabilities).

What will be better for a lot of typing, iPad mini or iPad2? Typing as in taking notes in classes or writing stories. Thanks!

Best Answerif you can text fast on your iPhone by using both thumbs, then the iPad mini is the way to go. Both thumbs can reach all the characters so its not not much of an adjustment. The iPad can be tricky to type on because its too big for thumbs only typing yet too small for computer style typing. If you ask me, this is one of the best features of the new iPad mini. Typing becomes a breeze.

Should I get the white iPad or the black one?
Im planning to get a new iPad. A bit confused between the colors. Which of the 2 colors looks better ? I have also heard that white colored iPad becomes yellowish after few months.

Best AnswerI would go for the black one because, even though the white is chic, in the long term the black is a nice solid color and will not go a weird color. Well unless you spray paint it. Or paint it. But then again if you're just going to cover it it doesn't matter what color you get. Anyways, the choice is ultimately you're preference, but I would tend to lean towards the black.
I hope I helped answer your question and good luck with your new iPad, no matter what color you get!- Answered by Daniel S from Houston

if I get an ipad 2 with wi-fi and 3g do I have to activate the 3g before I can use the tablet?
I want to get an iPad 2 for my wife. Most places will have wi-fi accessibility but I am thinking of buying one with 3g capability in case I may need it later. I need to know if I can still use the iPad without setting up the 3g account.

which ipad is best for special needs kids, the iPad mini or iPad2 or 3?
I'm looking at buying an iPad for my daughter with special needs to use for learning as well as assisted communication device. Mini is nice and small, but wondering if too small for her to use. She is 7 years old.

Best AnswerThe iPad 2 is the one I would recommend. It is cheap, has a large screen and is fast and loaded with IOS 6. The App Store will provide great apps for those with special needs, that will help them learn. You can also buy accessories that go with apps to make it more fun for them. It is also cheaper than the iPad 3. However the iPad 3 does have a retina display (3.1 million pixels!) and twice as fast as the iPad 2 but it is £80 more. The iPad mini is relatively the same as the iPad 2 (technology). It has the same resolution screen and the same power as the iPad 2, only smaller. If you have the extra bit if cash, then get the iPad 2.
Hope this helped.- Answered by Ben F

Should I buy an iPad mini or Macbook Air 11?
I already have a full iPad 3... the 6 month OLD iPad... but I do want a new computer because my Dell stinks really bad... like the battery will die instantly if I unplug it. But I also want a more portable tablet from Apple of course. Nither of them have Retina, I know but I just can't wait for either "next generation" ones. I was going to get a new iPod touch, but the iPad mini is only $30 extra.... so why not get that instead of the iPod. I'm so confused on which to get because The macbook can do EVERY thing that I do on my iPad, but the iPad mini can do everything also... oh, and just recently like yesterday, My dell computer stopped woking properly, so I can't sync my iPad anymore...

Best AnswerI don't understand your reasoning behind wanting an iPad mini when you already have the iPad 3; But go with the MBA. It'll be of far more use than a smaller version of what you already have. And the MBA can do much more than everything you can do on your iPad; It's a more logical choice to skip the mini, and get the Air. If your only concern is that you can't sync your iPad anymore, then skip both. Since iOS 5 was released, it hasn't been necessary to sync you iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch for updates. And you can find an app in the App Store to back up your data.
