I can honestly say that the iPad mini displays textbooks (and all books for that matter) really, really well. The size is perfect because it is really thin and light, something that can't be said of the full size iPad. It's super easy to type and highlight on the mini and takes up less space in your bag. The full size iPad may be a tad faster at key things like opening apps or opening a webpage a few seconds faster, but the iPad mini is perfectly speedy enough to do anything and everything from reading and annotating books, to creating documents, spreadsheets, and presentations, to loading big pages and running super powerful apps with no lag whatsoever. The battery life on the mini is also fantastic, and it really is quite portable and capable for its size and price. The smaller screen size doesn't compromise any of the apps or functionality of a full size iPad at all. Hope I helped!

For looks, the black and slate is probably the best. It's got got nice features and the feeling of the slate is very good. The slate also gives you a bit of a blue tinge which is quite nice too. The white and silver iPad mini is all a bit bright. Although, it make the camera and home button more visible. My choice would be the black and slate but I think the white and silver is very cool too.

No difference, the cellular means 4g. So it is the exact same thing.

I would get the iPad mini. For the extra money It is worth having a bigger screen.

I think that a ipod would be good for kids because they will want to use there iDevice a lot and if they cant they will hate it like my friend Ian he doe not like his ipad min i because he can not put it in his pocket so i feel bad for him so i would reccomend the ipod 5 until they get to high school because then they will need please take my answer correctly i think the ipod 5 is better for kids

If the iPad will be you only computer, and you need to store lots of music on it, go for the 32 gb model of either iPad 2 or iPad mini. If you have a laptop or desktop computer on which to store music, the 16gb iPads are sufficient. If you absolutely must take all you tunes with you, use the iCloud or buy a wireless external hard drive for extra storage space. My iPad 2 WiFi 16gb serves me very well. Additional storage options abound.
