Best AnswerActually it is not totally free...it is free up to 5GB. After the 5GB, which you can reach quickly if you do a great deal of reading and download a lot of books, the next tier is $20.00/year for 10GB, $40.00/year for 20GB, and $100.00/year for 50 GB. Hope this helps.

You can purchase apps by accessing the App store (already on the home screen of the iPad/ iPhone/ iPod touch 4th gen) and from there, you search the app you want, or just look through the ones in "catogories" and there are thousands of them to choose from, the apps prices range from about 10$ to free! Although many are very cheap, the higher priced ones are rare. then you press "download app" and it loads onto your home screen! You can buy apps with a credit card account or an iTunes card! Best AnswerNo, you cannot engrave any Apple product in the Apple Store. You can only engrave an Apple product in the online Apple Store.

What should I expect when it comes to app availability on the ipad
I was given a kindle fire hd 7" by my wonderful boyfriend for our anniversary. He's watched me drool over tablets for months now and bemoan the immobility of my desktop. Though I'm a Mac girl (born and raised!) He wanted to support my reading addiction and not break the bank so he got the the newest kindle. I love his thoughtfulness but I am finding myself soooo frustrated with it!! I use gmail and google voice and YouTube and weight watchers daily or more -- and I can't get those apps on my kindle! It's incredibly frustrating so I'm thinking of returning his gift and paying the difference for an ipad mini, but I don't want to shell out the cash for more of the same types of problems. So I'm trying to figure out what apps the ipad restricts and how easy other things are like watching videos online. I need to be able to write (a huge addiction for me plus a money source) and I want to be able to use video links from websites like gorrilavid and sockshare (something I have to tweak and twist with each time I try on the kindle and usually just give up in frustration) I know I got wordy but I really want to get this right and cease being frustrated!! Thanks for all you do.

AnswerYes you can. just look at the serial No on the back of your iPad - For instance Model A1432 is an iPad Mini . You can then do a search for iPad Model Numbers online and find out which Gen it is.

Will an Ipad 3 wifi PLUS 3G bought from US work in UK?
If i buy an Ipad3 in America with wifi and 3G will I be able to use in the UK?
I phoned Apple today and the rep told me I would have to sing up to a network when i purchased it in America so I would have to get the Ipad "unlocked". Is this the case?

Best AnswerI had no problem last year when I bought one for Australian use. I was advised to get wifi plus 3G with no affiliations to AT&T etc.
On my return home, I bought a SIM card , inserted it and have had no worries since.
Make sure you get the box of world wide plugs for electrical connections too!

can you delete built in apps?
I would like to buy an ipad, but don't need or want some of the built in apps. Is there any way to delete built in apps? If not, that is inconvenient and as a consumer I would recommend adding that in on the next generation ipad, ipod touch, and iphone. Thank you.

Would an iPad Mini work well as a cell phone as well as having standard other features.
I currently use Blackberry (for phone, text, browser, emails etc). I don't make or receive a lot of phone calls, but I don't want to carry both an iPad mini and a cell phone. Is there a Canadian carrier which offers reasonable rates for this combo and is the iPad mini suitable for this.

Best AnswerWifi Internet connection is included on all ipad 4 models.
This means wherever your ipad is IF their is a wifi connection you are able to connect if you have the security information. You can connect to any open networks (no password.) There is no additional costs for this only the usual cost of the Internet the phone company charges your family each month. This Internet can only be used in some places or sometimes only at home.
3G/4G/LTE is Internet every where at a cost by home much you use,.
You can also set up a personal hotspot on devices that have 3G/ 4G / LTE this is an Internet connection that you pay for sepratly by buying a micro-sim.
Overall, you are not charged as much for wifi and it IS included in the device for no extra cost. I find wifi alone is fine for my ipad and don't find the need to use celluar. Yes basically wifi models can only use wifi hotspots where as wifi+ cellular models can use Internet everywhere at a cost
