what is the difference of the ipad 3 and the new ipad with retina display?

Best AnswerIn March 2012, Apple introduced the iPad 3rd-generation with Retina display. They called it "the new iPad".
In October 2012, they introduced the iPad 4th-generation, with the same Retina display. They're now referring to the iPad as "iPad with Retina display".
So in essence, both the third and fourth-gen iPads have Retina display. It's just the fourth-gen is much faster, sports the new Apple Lightning connector and supports more 4G LTE bands in the world. The differences are minimal. It's more of an iterative release than a revolutionary release.
So to summarise the iPad line-up today:
- iPad with Retina display (aka iPad fourth-gen)
- iPad 2 (without Retina display, now two generations old)
- iPad mini (the smaller iPad).]
And the third-gen iPad is now no longer available, having been replaced by the fourth-gen. Think of it as the MacBook line-up, if you may. You have the MacBook Pro with Retina display, the MacBook Pro and the MacBook Air. One with Retina, one without, and one much smaller.- Answered by Adam L

I would like to buy an IPad but I have concerns as to whether they're compatible to PCs. My intention is to use it for my recording notes, developing many files along the way. Is their a font issue between the 2 types of systems? my neighbor has the Ipad 2 and whenever she sends files or anyother data it looks like a ziz saw puzzel.
I'm trying to enhance my techology with practical features . I love my Iphone 5.

AnswerNo. Lightning to SD Card Camera Reader will only import photos and videos to 4th Generation iPad or iPad mini. It will not write files from iPad to SD card. When you sync iPad or iPad mini to your PC or Mac, the photos and videos on your iPad are added to your computer's photo library. From your Mac or PC, you can then transfer photos/videos to another storage device.

Yes, it will have Siri. Keep in mind though if you have the Wifi only model Siri will only be available when connected to Wifi.

Best AnswerGraphics intensive games will result in warmth, as the CPU works harder. However it seems having the screen at full 100% brightness causes just as much heat. Turning down the brightness definitely reduces warmth on my iPad as many have also reported.
