I have limited space on a roll-top desk. I hope the post does not have to be mounted to the desk next to the iMac as shown? And how high is the post?

Can I use it to support my iMac 27' and a LED Cinema display 27' together?

I'm not sure if it will support the weight of the iMac 27'and the LED 27' mounted on the same support at the same time... Thanks

Items states its compatible with 27 iMac and not clear if it is compatible with 27 thunderbolt.
