Will I be able to run other pedals with an apogee gio

Basically, I have two amplifiers so I run them into a pedal that connects them both together, also I have a tuner pedal, is it possible that I can run the gio through them by connecting the speaker slot on the gio, into the pedals, then to the amps?

How well does this work with bass guitar? I want to use this live with drum loops in Mainstage.

Everything I can find about the GIO talks about using it with guitar or to control Mainstage with a MIDI keyboard. I want to use this with a bass guitar.

Can I have the guitar output through the GiO (into an amp) and vocals, etc. output through a Duet (into a loudspeaker/headphones)?

Does this work with Pro Tools 9? I've searched everywhere and it says its compatible but can't figure out how to use it.
