Is there a software development kit so I can start capture, know when each frame is grabbed and get pixels into c/c++ code. i.e., control th device.
I need to control video capture of NTSC video into the Mac--doing on Windows now.
This is for a medical imaging application (breast scanner, see www.XdataRnD.com).
typically, I start the capture of a given number of frames (500) and for each frame I read an encoder. Then I take the captured frames and process those to make a volume image.
Am doing all of this on a PC, but rather control the system using a Mac. However, it is hard to find a frame grabber for the Mac.
The Epiphan VGA grabber is about all I could find...- Asked by Kris D from Indianapolis

Is this compatible with the QTKit Framework ?
I'm a developper and I am working on an application that is already using the QTKit Framework to get video feed from webcams. I want to change the input device for a more sophisticated camera that only outputs with Composites.
Is this device compatible with QTKit so I don't need to change to code to be able to record what's comming from the new camera system?- Asked by Benoit L from Mascouche

Can I return the product if it does not work? I have used other similar video capture products, but none of them seem to function with my camera.
Since it includes a software can i still return it. I don't want to pay $100 and have a product that does not function with my camera.

Can I see what I am filming while I am using my VCR?
I have a Macbook and Sony HD Camcorder.
But the Camcorder's touch screen is broken. It still records alright, but can not preview what I am filming.
If I connect Macbook with Camcorder with this product, can I preview what I am filming on the software? I don't need the mac to record it, I still want it to be recorded by tape in Camcorder.
If this product does not do that, which one can?
Thanks very much.- Asked by Mo L from Beijing

Will it maintain the timestamp when recording video from a camcorder?
I want to maintain the timestamp from my DV camcorder and have been looking for a solution. When I transfer the video digitally through a high speed cable to my iMac the timestamp is saved as a separate file. I need to be able to save a video file that contains the video and shows the timestamp together. Thank you.
