Will the alarm in iPhone work if docked in this system? will the alarm sound come through the speakers?

I am trying to see if my iPhone is docked in this speaker system will it
1. allow the iPhone alarm functions and if yes,
2. Will the alarm sound come through the Bose speakers or thru the iphone speakers
3. Will it play any music that i select

compatility between USA and UK kit.

I am going to the states in december and would like to buy a bose or philips or other high quality docking station for the iphone3gsor ipod for a present and for use in the UK with Uk iphone and ipod(iPhone 3GS and Ipod 3rd generation and 4th generation. Will it work please??

Will "aux in" work with my macbook? Has anyone tried this?

I've tried another speaker dock (Phillips) and it wouldn't work with laptops, just other mp3 players. Also tried JBL Onstage IIIp (two of them) and they wouldn't work with my iphone.
