Is there a shorter stand option?

I bought these a few years ago and have used them with a few few MacBook Pros and now my Mac Pro. They sound great.

I removed the stands as I like them directly under my 27" Apple display. I am still looking for a better (shorter) stand, that will still angle them upward. Anyone have any ideas?

Can I use the Bose USB connection to stream audio to the speakers via the airport extreme from my Mac Book Pro?

I've a Mac Book Pro 13" and Bose Acoustimas V and i intend to buy airport extreme. 2 questions:

1. Can I use the USB of bose with airport extreme to stream audio from my notebook?
2. If I give the input from my DSL modem into the airport extreme, I can browse the internet wirelessly either on my Mac or PC. I hope this is true!

The decision to purchase would depend the answers to the questions above.
