How are the speakers connected to each other? Cables? How long?

Can I use the Bose USB connection to stream audio to the speakers via the airport extreme from my Mac Book Pro?

I've a Mac Book Pro 13" and Bose Acoustimas V and i intend to buy airport extreme. 2 questions:

1. Can I use the USB of bose with airport extreme to stream audio from my notebook?
2. If I give the input from my DSL modem into the airport extreme, I can browse the internet wirelessly either on my Mac or PC. I hope this is true!

The decision to purchase would depend the answers to the questions above.

If I have these plugged into the USB, AND my outdoor speakers plugged into the regular 3.5mm port on my iMac, will they both work at the same time?

Is it true that there is problems using Companion (3 or 5) with mac book pro and with Snow Leopard?

In the review part it's written that it doesn't work with Snow Leopard and that because of the UBS connection sometimes the speakers power has to be unplugged from the wall and reconnected. Does someone know anything about problems?

It says 5.1 but the picture shows 2 speakers...  Are there more speakers that aren't displayed in the picture?

Volume adjustment

Can I change the speakers volume from the volume control in osx, or am I forced to use the physical dial on the speaker?

When I change the speakers volume from the hardware dial, does the volume changed indicator show up on my mac's screen?
