I have an ipod nano generation 3 and I wanted to know if these earpods will work with it. I understand that the remote and mic will not work but I want to know if the earpods will still play music

Is the headphone jack for the earbuds smaller than standard headphones? Is there an adapter if so that after market headphones, such as Beats, work?
