I need to plug in my iPhone 5 to a 30 pin plug at the gym.question will this connect through my otter box
Does the lightning part of this adapter stick out enough to connect through an otter box cover . I want to connect my 5 at the gym which has the 10 pin connector. Or do you have a better option?

Will this put added stress on the input?
I am thinking for my direct connect in my 2012 VW it will be moving around in the glove box and the Lightning portion looks extremely thin.
