Leather vs polyurethane smart cover

Which material is best to get? I like the feel of the leather but I worry about durability and permeability.

OK, now we know from a previous question and answer that "The leather cover is 142 grams which is 5oz". What is the weight of the polyurethane cover?

Does the Polyurethane or microfiber side face down when used as a stand? In the picture on the apple website, the microfiber faces down.

This would require a user to not just flip the cover back and fold into a stand, but to take the magnetic hinge off, rotate it, reattach, then fold it. The microfiber would of course pick up any dirt from the surface of the table/desk. This can't be right, but the direction of the folds on the product info page shows it this way.

What to use to protect the back side of the Ipad2?

What covers are available to protect the front and back (overall) of ipad2?
What can be used to protect the back side of iPad2, when using smart polyurethane cover?
I just now bought an ipad2 and am looking for something to give it an all around protection; medium expense solution.
