What do I have to disable in my wireless router modem for the TC to work as my wireless access point for my broadband?
I have a Netgear wireless modem router and this question section talks about disabling some aspects of these type of devices. This appears to be when you wish the TC to act as the access point and then have it connected using a wire to the Netgear device to the internet. What do I need to do or disable?

Can I plug working ethernet cable into TC, and use it as a wireless router?
I am living in a university where internet is supplied via an ethernet cable plugged into the wall at one end, and computer at the other. I currently have no modem/router/anything other than a hole in the wall and an ethernet cable.
Am I right to assume that I can plug that ethernet cable from the wall into the back of a TC, and it would then act as a wireless router for my room, no other parts necessary?- Asked by Ben R

Can I have a separate NAS drive plugged into a separate wireless router that would then connect through the TC router to the internet for FTP
I want to buy a NAS drive with FTP server. I gather the TC doesn't have FTP serving capabilities but if I buy a separate NAS drive and plug that into an existing wireless router I own could that then communicate with the wireless TC which would be connected to my cable modem and the NAS drive could act as the FTP server.

Can I restrict internet access on a TC by user and/or time of day or of the week?
I currently use a Cisco router where I open and close internet access by MAC address depending on time of day and day of the week. For instance MAC address xx:xx:xx:xx: gets internet access from 9AM to noon and then from 7PM top 9PM on week ends, and no internet access until 7PM during weekdays. On the other hand another MAC address gets a different set of rules to access the internet while my, (MAC) and my wife's (PC Running Windows 7) computers have no restrictions.
I'm told by a sales rep in a computer store that there's "No problem", doing that but that guy also sells fridges and video games so I'm looking for a little more comfort.

Is there any way of accessing the TC over the internet so that i can put my photos on it but still see them in iphoto when on the internet elsewhere?
I am thinking of getting a TC as my external hard drive is now not working and my hard drive on my mac book is full. i would like to get all my photos off the mac hard drive onto the external drive but still be able to see them in iphoto, i assume this can be done easily when in local area network but is there a way of setting it up so it can be done over the internet as the only places i take the mac have wifi it would be nice to be show family photos.
