I currently use an Airport Extreme, if I get one of these , how will this fit in to my network? Can I use the AE to extend the wireless network ?
iMac 24 patched direct to Airport Extreme, Aiport Express on 1st floor, used to extend network - how best to add a Time Capsule to this wireless setup. For example, could the TC be used as the primary wireless router with the AE used to extend the network (in addition to the Express!!)?

I have a Time Capsule as the hub of my network, I have two other airport extremes connected wirelessly to bridge the network right now.
How, and what would it change if I could extend the network (bridge) over ehternet? For example, I have an ethernet port in my upstairs office, but the Time Capsule is down on the opposite end of the house in the basement (my house has 3 floors). Would it be faster, stronger, and just better to extend over ethernet?
Thank you!- Asked by Adam K from Costa Mesa

Can the Time Capsule be hooked up directly to my iMac and be used as a wireless network extender at the same time?
I have a Airport Express hooked to my DSL modem in another room and use my Time Capsule as network extender. The Time Capsule is in the office with my iMac. Is it possible to use the Time Capsule as a wireless network extender and also hook it up to my iMac via "hard-wire" so that I get the fastest data transfer speed available. Being that it sits right next to the iMac, I don't mind hooking it up directly to it.

Is there a way to connect my time capsule to the hotspot created by my iphone 5 on the LTE network (I have no ethernet cable for DSL/WAN)
I have read that the airport express may be able to be used as the wireless bridge (connect to the iphone hotspot and then into the TC) but I can't find a definitive answer. If the AE can do it I would have thought the TC could but I can't find a way.
Internet is only provided by LTE through Iphone 5
I want to use my TC as a source for ethernet and extend/or create wifi
I need to get an ethernet connection for two home theater products that don't support wifi- Asked by Brad T from Saskatoon

Can you use Time Capsule to expand a current wireless network the same way as Airport Express does?
I have a router at my home already and don't need to replace it, but I need a back up drive and more wireless area. Will this do the job for me, or do I settle for an Airport Express?

I am in the Air Force and stationed in Germany at the moment. I am currently using my landlord's wireless. How can I extend it with my Time Capsule?
They only have dial-up out here, so my landlord got satellite internet. I have tried to ask them to give me a ethernet hook-up but they won't because it would be too much installation, so I have to use their internet using there wireless. I would like to pick up their wireless and rebroadcast it with my time capsule so my home network will still function without having to switch everything to their network and be able to get a stronger network and also be able to backup my iMac.

Does TC need to serve as the main base in an extended network in order to utilize TM backup? I would like to add an old refurb TC as an extender.
I have a new AE which works great. I have the opportunity to buy an old TC, but I do not want to use it as my primary base station because it lacks some of the features of my new AE. I would like to use the old TC as a wireless network extender. However, I would like to know if the TC/TM capabilities are functional if the TC is serving as an extender instead of as the primary station.

I have a Billions Wireless router on ADSL2+ in phone socket. Do I need this to enable networking eg. wireless printing?
I don't get if by having a wireless modem/router this means I have a network. Are they the same thing? I couldn't connect my wireless printer to my internet though I can use internet fine on my Macbook and iPhones. Does connecting an Airport Extreme or time capsule mean that the wireless aerial on my router is defunct?

Extending a wireless network with a non-apple router.
If I buy this, would I be able to set this as the base station, and use a Netgear router as an extender? Or do the routers need to be the same brand?

Will the time capsule function within an existing wirless network as a bridge only.
I have a very new and efficient wireless network currently, non-Mac. I would like to utilize the time capsule as a wireless backup only. If time capsule also extends the wirless range of my current network that would be a plus.

Will simultaneous dual-band support also work when extending an existing wireless network in which other base stations don't have that capability?
My ADSL modem comes with an integrated wireless base station. I would rather like to extend that network instead of replacing it. The reason is that my printer (which I would like to plug into Time Capsule) and the ADSL socket (which I need for Internet access) are located in different rooms. So I cannot plug in both into the same base station. However, the ADSL modem does not support simultaneous dual-band: you need to choose one. Will that also prevent Time Capsule from working with both bands simultaneously?

Can I run iPhoto from Airport Extreme or Time Capsule? I'm running out of room on my Macbook Pro & would like to have full access to all my photos.
If yes, to do so would I need to create a network between AE/TC & my Macbook, transfer the library, then specify iPhoto to use the library from the new location? Thanks for any help or other suggestions!

can you have multiple time capsules on the same network?
Looking to replace my first gen Time Capsule with a newer model with more HDD and dual-band capacity. Can I keep my old TC on the network when I upgrade to the new one and put the old one in bridge mode to expand the wireless network? And can I backup to BOTh devices, either redundantly or assigning different devices to different TC’s?
In terms of dual-band, am I better off using the old TC to create a separate network for b/g devices and use the new one exclusively for n devices, or will the new one handle dual-band adequately so the b/g signals won’t slow down n devices?- Asked by Jason S from Cranbury
