Why do the product reviews only go back about 10 days?
There seems to be a rash of time capsule failures but I can't tell if this is something recent or something that is part of a long history.

Is the version shipping the updated TC?
The footnote is confusing: Testing conducted by Apple in October 2009 comparing preproduction Time Capsule (Late 2009) with shipping Time Capsule (Early 2009) units
which suggests the shipping version is the early 2009 model?- Asked by Margaret H from Seattle

Hard Decision to Make, Please Help Me!!
I have checked out both the Time Capsule (2 TB) and the My Passport (1TB) and I wasn't sure if I should get both like I was planning on doing or just buy the only one necessary. If your wondering, i dont need this for work and such, I just use the computer for internet, mail, music, ect. so my question is: Should I Buy Both or just one of the two, and if so which one of the two?

Does the TC compress the data or is the backed up files the same size as the original?
I was looking to purchase a TC but I am unsure of the size that I would need. Can the TC compress the backed up information (to save space)? Can I add an additional USB external drive if I run out of space on the TC?

Can someone tell me how big the time capsule e.g. dimensions...width, height and length in cm?
I need to back up and move some photo/movie files off my laptop as it keeps on saying the hard drive is full. Is it therefore worth buying the time capsule or just a western digital hard drive? Thanks

Already have a home network that worked great until I bought an iMac. Now I can't print through my pc or access them like before. Do I need a TC?
Every one of the sales people I talked to said the iMac would integrate seamlessly with my existing home network. I have a brand new Belkin system that I received for Christmas. When I set up the Belkin network, I was finally able to print from every computer in the house. Xbox ran fantastically. Could access pictures, documents, etc. (whatever was shared on each pc) through each computer on my home network.
Now that I have an iMac, I cannot see the hardwired computers on the network. It only recognizes the wireless kids' computer. I've tried hardwiring the iMac through the router. Same deal. I can access the internet, but have no access to the hardwired network. I am thoroughly frustrated.
I am considering buying a TC for this reason (if I'm going to purchase something, I'll go with the TC instead of the Airports). PLEASE tell me if there is some simple solution I'm missing. I am willing to go with Apple, but the Belkin system was working great until the addition of my BRAND NEW iMac. Received for Valentines day. PLEASE help.
Thanks- Asked by Karen W from Danville
